Jesus Christ; the same yesterday and today and forever. He had been sad enough for a sob earlier in the morning but steadily cheered up after mum pointed out that there were SO many people praying for him. It was also lovely, this afternoon, to meet little months-old Elliot Reed (I was his dad's best man - a copy of my speech is on Nat's site). This was good because it meant that Elliot was getting all the attention instead of Pads.
We just came off the phone to Pads' cub leader having dropped the bombshell ahead of tomorrow night when cubs kicks off again. As usual, it left poor Pete speechless - he has a real soft spot for Pads. We are pretty used to the idea by now but it is quite a shock.
