Back from Manorbier

Thankfully we arrived home this afternoon. Here are some pictures of our time in Pembrokeshire. Yesterday was a bit wet but we filled the time with playing 'Game of Life' in the morning. Then the small boys and I went to the pool while the bigs did some maths. The pool was great fun, not least because there was no life-guard! They spent a lot of energy trying different ways to jump in. Pads is struggling with maths - not because he does not have the ability but because he's missed quite a lot of it being explained. When he hits a 'brick wall' he finds that upsetting and it can take quite a lot of time and effort to start again. Later on we went to Tenby for sit down fish and chips. Pads has eaten consistently this holiday, but still nothing like enough so that he wouldnt need his PEG feeds. For example, at breakfast time he'll have half a piece of toast and some orange juice. For lunch, 3/4 of a cheeseburger and, last night, 7/8 of a small battered sausage and a cup of squash.
We'll have happy memories of Manorbier to take with us into whatever the next cycle throws at us. The next and final chemo cycle starts next Friday.
I've been preparing for the annual Halloween visit by updating and printing some handouts. This is a copy of this year's effort.
