Spot the platelet

So, looking drawn and pale, P went to see all about it with mum. The full blood count came back a few hours later showing his platelets at 16 - that's 2 less than the last time they gave him an infusion. This accounts for the red spots starting to appear so a bag of these is on order. This can take a while to arrive though so mum and son may not return until the early hours. It would be an option to stay in for the night but it is better for Pads to be in his own bed and rest for as long as he likes tomorrow. The team are still convinced that the pain in his mouth and throat is caused by thrush. They've offered him difflam mouthwash, instead of the spray version he already has, to soothe the larger affected area.
