Good progress

Pads was recovering from surgery at about noon. Then up to HDU by 2pm.
He wanted to view the wound site and was happy for me to share it with you.

Visits need to be kept short and sweet - best to clear it with us by txt first. Just now we've left the ward to give him an opportunity to rest more. He'd been enjoying 'Up' on his PSP-go earlier - even a couple of chunks of Dairy Milk - he's drinking well too. The dressing is very thin and covers the staples which are giving him pain, relieved somewhat by the blue 'warm pad'.
We both feel very relieved this side of the surgery. The surgeon was very pleased with the op. He said he got all of the tumour and that there was not a lot of bleeding. Pads asked me if this meant he would not need chemo but that is unlikely. All of that will start to get clearer over the coming week. For example when the results of exactly what the tumour is come back - it may be a subtle variant which will affect further treatment decisions.

I've come here via Hannah's facebook page - I've often seen her talking about Padi but didn't know what was going on. I've had a really good read of the blog today and it looks like you've all been through a lot over the past year or so. I hope that he recovers well from his operations and you will all be in my thoughts.

so pleased to read this- we have been praying for you all- it amazes me (though it shouldn't) the strength he Lord gives His people not just to 'get through' things but to do it to His glory. Lots of love to you all. Tell Pads we told our 5 year old (Daniel) all about him tonight and that he will be praying for him too xx
