Not today

We are grateful that Saturday was a lot different to the last one. Pads has needed much less break-through pain relief this past week in fact.
Having expended his energy looking for some of his DS games, Pads was just too tired to go out to the Brain Tumour Support Group yesterday. They have three sessions with a filmmaker in Penarth lined up so hopefully he can get to the next one. Also, although he enjoyed a small battered sausage, he couldn't face coming downstairs to join his siblings for their usual Saturday-night chill DVD and chips. That was a shame but we gathered in his room afterwards to read and pray. Psalm 69 was next up:
Psalms 69:1
'Save me, O God; for the waters are come in unto my soul.'
The psalm is one of those that speaks of the suffering of the Lord Jesus Christ. It shows how we have not a high priest who cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities (Heb 4:15).
Psalms 69:32 - 'your heart shall live that seek God.'
These verses are a strong consolation.
