Pads ended the day well after having his chemo in the morning through the port - thus it was really no big deal. Ally was able to visit the LATCH facilities. He was greeted with considerable joy by his classmates, making his first appearance this week at school at 1:15. On arriving, he met his teacher and, lifting up his shirt, said, 'I can do show and tell with this!' (meaning his line).
He was excellent again for the radiotherapy. One of the radiotherapists noticed that he has a cheeky smile - evidence the fact that the smile was available to be noticed :-) She was explaining that the radiotherapy is aimed at DNA - the bad cells can't cope with this but the good ones can and try and recover - but that process takes a lot of the body's energy. This explains why he'll get progressively more tired.
With the help of ondancetron, his appetite is better. He's also not as giddy by tonight. He's chosen to sleep in the study again tonight because 'he likes it'.
It's six weeks since the operation today.
