We've had the occasional smile today, when jollied along by relatives, but his throat being very sore is causing additional discomfort. It is another disincentive to eat, on top of the already diminished appetite so he's not taking enough calories to keep at his current weight, no matter what we put in front of him (including Sue's amazing cake!). He admitted earlier to having a runny nose so may well have caught my cold. He's not immuno-compromised at the moment so this isn't serious and may account for the sore throat - rather than it being caused by the radiotherapy - i.e. it should get better soon. How much school he'll get to this week is anyone's guess.
