still too flat for school

Pads is still too flat for school today. He's doing better because the thrush medicine is really starting to take effect - ate quite a reasonable dinner last night. He's on a bit of a cocktail of drugs at the moment: antisickness, pain relieving tablets and spray, anti-fungal tablets, laxatives (movicol which has the consistency and taste of warm vaseline). He only managed a spoonful of breakfast although his drinking is improved.
He was a long time in Velindre Hospital yesterday because the staff were having to make some adjustments to his radiotherapy. There's been some new findings from the US (yay!) that a smaller dose has the same benefit with less side effects. They intend to decrease the amount of radiation although he's still having 33 'fractions' (i.e. treatments).
Moli's birthday tomorrow and inset for the boys so hopefully he'll buck up for that.
Pads has just gone to school with Neil who managed to cheer him up as only he can :-)
