never very far from wincing

Moli doesnt know her own strength these days but Pads is too tender for playful tweaks - one sent him reeling this afternoon and he didnt really recover after that today, wouldnt eat tea and headed off to bed by 5pm. Before that he'd missed the morning service from tummy pain but had eaten well and attended Sunday School in the afternoon. His diet this week has led to a one kilo increase in his weight which is heading in the right direction. We're taking each day as it comes though and will just have to see what he's like tomorrow in terms of attending school. He was in quite a bit of discomfort going to sleep but was also quite sleepy so hopefully the latter will win over the former.
We had quite a good day yesterday - no 5 mile walks though! After a morning of jobs (including taking one of the mixy infected rabbits on a one-way trip to the vet) we went off to Ruth & Rhys' (also waiting for results of a tumour biopsy) which included watching Wales lose (as opposed to SA win), walking the dogs in the woods near Welsh-St-Donats, a wallow in the hot-tub and a little bit of 'well marbled' sirloin for dinner. Communication with the kids is not straightforward: I sent Moli and her mum off to Bath on the train (on the day that Wales were playing at home - not the best timing!). Moli revealed that she hadnt realised Pad's tumour was malignant in spite of definitely having told her and she, of all of them, best placed to take it in... hmmm... [attempts to make mental note]
