Around the park in the sun

Pads was pretty flat again today until later on. He had a small Sunday lunch and mixed with our guests... was feeling tired and I suggested he could have a kip but also that the dog needed a walk and so we toddled around the park in the sun. This really gave him a lift and he was really fine until bedtime, including the evening service where it was lovely for the first time in a long while to all be in the pew together as a family. The pews in the new church building are wide enough to hold seven people each! We all appreciated the sermon from John 4:24 'Jesus saith unto her, I that speak unto thee am he.' (i.e. the Son of God, her saviour, even though she was a Samaritan) - Pads said he 'thought it was for me.'
Hopefully we'll see him start to enjoy more of the day while he's not getting additional doses of chemo. He's not looking forward to the kidney function test this week, or the MRI scan the week after because they both involve having a cannula - sadly they cant put the dye in via his port because it sticks to the line apparently...
In spite of being quite low, when he has picked up in the day, in fairness, he's tried to do more than just 'DS'. Here's a photo of one of his bargain jigsaws all finished and the wood-work bi-plane he finished yesterday, built and painted from a kit that Santa at Downing St gave him.
