New treatment's Eve

Happy New Year to everyone. We have no idea how this is going to pan out but we are sure that we can count on the same levels of support and encouragement from everyone in 2009. Ally feels like she's the other side of the Christmas hill now - not least with having given her testimony last night in front of the whole church.
Pads goes for his first treatment in the new phase tomorrow morning. It will involve at least an overnight stay on the ward because the infusion of drugs takes over 30 hours to complete. In spite of our concerns, he seems to be unphased by the prospect - typically brave. This is the first of potentially 8 cycles - each cycle being 6 weeks long (i.e. 48 weeks); but I'm told that no-one has managed to be well enough to be able to take the full 8 treatments - they give what they can without pushing the body too far.
We've had a great time with our Scottish visitors and they say they're enjoying themselves. On Monday we went up to Big Pit which was excellent (a MUST visit if you're anywhere in the vicinity). Other than that we've been having a nice easy time of it. I had thought our New Year's Eve wouldnt come up to scratch, but the meetings in church last night were wonderful (prayer meeting, refreshments, informal meeting, refreshments, 'watchnight' service taking us into the New Year).
I've been playing with Audacity to edit some recordings I've made recently with my little T-Sonic 630. Here's a recording (in mono) of Moli's choir - three short pieces.
