Pads went for an eye test this morning - you may remember he had double-vision. I asked him again how long he had experienced this for and it sounds like it was a couple of years (you may have seen him with his head on one side - this was him trying to adjust for the problem)! Anyway, he was too unstable on his feet to consider walking so Ally rolled him over on the wheelchair. The test took about an hour, included seeing three different people. The 'field test' took 15-20 minutes alone - Pads showed remarkable endurance for that. He was flagging by the end and didnt think he gave of his best but actually they were very pleased with him and dont want to see him again for six months. He's eating well-ish and really perked up with help of a dip in the hot tub at Ruth's this afternoon.
