tube up, tube down

it would be fair to say that Paddy is very fed up. This morning his first move was to the loo but this also entailed bringing up his overnight feed and the feed tube. He was quite distressed needless to say. But after a short period of recovery he was skipping around the place with joy and relief. His sore throat was gone and he was talking fine, he even had some corn-flakes for breakfast. But the opinion of the dr was that he needed to have the tube back in and so, with a lot of duress, he had a new tube fitted. He is now back under the cloud, not speaking. We are lining him up for a session with a play therapist to see if they can help him with some of his hangups (e.g. rejecting finger prick blood tests).
