Pads is certainly getting better although his progress has been slowed by a skin infection over his ear where the NG tube had been trained. The medical team prescribed a course of antibiotics, but they didnt agree with him and he woke up being ill at about 4 this morning. In spite of this, he was up and about quite early. The team were keen for him to continue the antibiotics but this was really upsetting his gut, so tonight they relented. Actually his ear is looking ok now. In fact, he's looking much more human, partly for the fact that he's been for his first haircut in a very long time. This has tidied up his wispy bits remarkably. There's still a long way to go for a covering to reach over the 'burnt' patches over the sites of radiotherapy boosts, but it'll come. Tomorrow is pre-chemo day.
