pain subsiding slowly

Pads and Al left the hospital at 1pm. With codeine and paracetamol on board, Pads is starting to talk normally and move about a bit more. He just climbed the stairs, pretty good going, but any kind of twisting has him grimacing. That's better than earlier when he was routinely close to tears and gasping with pain. Brave lad.
