And tonight's special is 'neck pain' gently mingled with unaccountable itchiness. That means I've just pushed Calpol, Piriton, Metaclopramide, and Ondansetron down his tube. Although there are chilling overtones of the neck pain from last summer, this time he thinks it's been caused by sleeping on a non-flat hospital bed (they can be adjusted by a remote control). He has always liked an extreme elevation of pillows, so it was quaint to hear him complaining that an awkward angle had given him grief. The pain was quite considerable. He spent a while suffering while trying to sit up and do some homework, but it was untenable. Thus ensued another trip to Ruth and Rhys' hot tub, which seems to have given some relief, and thence to bed.
