Far better day

After lots of oramorph overnight Thurs/Friday, we couldnt get Pads out of bed yesterday morning. He couldnt even put up with someone sitting on the side of the bed. Later on we had a chat with the consultant again and the drug on the block is phenobarbital. This is supposed to be useful for nerve pain. Well, he's back on the dexamethasone (steroids) too for a bit. Add to this an increase in the amitriptyline and today he's a different boy. Pads was up before the other children and he's eaten quite a bit. He also went to IKEA, he even had a shower! Looking back, we are so grateful that he didnt need the oramorph while we were travelling back from Inverness!
