First full day in school since December

P went to school yesterday for half a day and today for the whole day. Both times he's gone in with his pump still running. Yesterday, when I picked him up at noon he was smiling: apparently I'd saved him from fielding questions from more cute Year One children. He then had bloods taken at home, via the port, and the line can stay in until after chemo on Friday. This will be his third cycle, out of a potential eight. Something had tickled him last evening and he was helpless with laughter. The same could not be said of his cousin Llyr, who discovered, via arthroscopy, that the damage to his knee ligaments and cartilage was worse than had been imagined. He will need a big operation to put it right, requiring a lot of re-hab.
