Thanks to Ally for the wonderful trip to Rome - ably supported especially by Ruth. We left on Thursday night and returned late on Saturday. In that time we covered a lot of the main sights and enjoyed fine weather and food. Meanwhile, after Machen school had closed for two days, Wednesday and Thursday, pads made it in on Friday and was clearly fine for the 'Friday Fellowship' (young people's meeting). He was even bouncing after that! So his stamina is improving. Right now I'm standing in the GP surgery waiting to take p in to get his ears checked out. He's coming to the end of a cold and his ears hurt. We're 'enjoying' a stint of being normally ill, taking our place in the normally ill person's queue.
