Shiny

Today's wheeze to get Pads out was that we were going to pick up 'his car'. Pads was finding our old faithful Nissan Serena pretty uncomfortable on long journeys. Around the same time that he was expressing this, some marketing arrived through the post about Motability. We'd discounted this before because we already have a big enough car, and to get something of the same proportions would require quite a large down-payment. However, Ally investigated and found that we could get a decent vehicle for about the same as we'd get for selling the Serena. The advent of this day has caused quite a high level of excitement, excitement that was fully gratified by all the 'bells and whistles' the new car features, each one met with cries of 'awesome' and 'cool' as I drove the smalls home from school. As the consultant said last Friday, hopefully this car will encourage Pads to want to go out for trips, instead of the Serena being a dissincentive. That old car 'owes us nothing'. It has been a real work-horse, and still has plenty of life in it, albeit fairly uncivilised... any offers?
